The FishCRIME 2018 planning committee recently held its first official on-site meeting on 6 March at the UNCity, Copenhagen, Denmark, the venue of the upcoming FishCRIME 2018 Symposium. The planning meeting was attended by representatives of the co-organisers of the 2018 symposium including the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, the Nordic Council of Ministers, UNODC, UNDP, the North Atlantic Fisheries Intelligence Group and PescaDOLUS. The two-day Symposium, on 15-16 October, is the fourth in the series of international fisheries crime symposiums, initiated in 2015. FishCRIME 2018 will advance efforts towards high level political commitment to cooperatively addressing transnational organised fisheries crime.
