The Blue Justice Initiative, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s Blue Resilience project, will be facilitating a series of short public webinars spotlighting particular themes pertaining to organized crime in the fisheries sector.
The webinars, which will take the format of a brief (15-20 minute) presentation by one to two experts followed by a short Q&A session, will be recorded and edited for inclusion under the Blue Justice Community’s e-learning component. The schedule of webinars will be posted here and regularly updated to reflect new topics. Please register to join us in what promises to be a programme of illuminating talks.
Short reports of the webinars can be found on the Reports page under ‘Blue Justice Initiative Reports’.
Webinar 1: What are key governance and associated gender challenges to tackling organized crime in the fisheries sector?
Webinar 2: Challenges and opportunities associated with addressing economic crime in the fisheries sector with reference to the North Atlantic Fisheries Intelligence Group (NA-FIG) model
Webinar 3: Challenges of Large Ocean Nations on addressing fisheries crime, particularly in times of crises such as COVID
We invite all Blue Justice Forum attendees to share feedback on the webinar series. Please share your views on the substantive content, speakers and potential topics that you would like to hear more on.
We are holding a digital international conference later this year and your ideas will help shape our agenda.
Please note this is not a registration form – you must register for the specific webinars you are interested in attending.
