On the 3rd of December 2020 Foreign Minister Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres of Nicaragua signed the international declaration against transnational organized crime in the global fishing industry.
Minister Moncada Colindres also attended the high level Blue Justice Conference on the 10th December where he stated:
“The Government of Nicaragua considers that faced with the development of crime in the fishing industry, it is necessary to continue strengthening international and regional cooperation within the spirit of solidarity, in agreement with the respective legislations and international agreements, with a coordinated and multidisciplinary approach to the threat of transnational organised fisheries crime.”
